Treatment Philosophy

My philosophy is to aid the client in facilitating change, not encourage dependency on the therapist to regulate emotions. My hope is that the support and skills you acquire by engaging in therapy will lead to managing your emotions. Thus, I find that most crisis or issues can be stabilized or managed by focusing in these three areas:

  1. Establishing a therapeutic toolbox. Incorporating CBT, DBT, and problem solving skills.

  2. Gaining insight into patterns of behavior that have kept you stuck.

  3. Recognizing that your past may have contributed to your issues but do not have to define or dictate who you are.

*At any given time you are doing the best that you can, given the resources that are available to you in the moment.

Initial assessment (65-75 minutes): $200
Individual counseling (45-55 minutes): $185
Family/Couple (45-55 minutes): $185
